Wizard of OZ The Wizard of OZ award is given monthly to an outstanding member of our chapter based on the following criteria: - Positive attitude/enthusiasm in Kappa Kappa Psi and band participation. - Leadership. - Dedication. Participation in the band/fraternity with willingness and zeal (eagerness, passion, ardent fervor). - Some sort of amazing contribution to the band/fraternity, and/or going beyond the call of duty. - Shows responsibility. March 2008 Senior Early Childhood Education major Lisa Chenko was voted the March Wizard of OZ for the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated her for this award, and the chapter elected her as the recipient. Lisa arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include but are not limited to: - Her hard work and dedication as President of the Chapter. - Her willingness and enthusiasm to attend all Committee meetings and events. - Her commitment of time spent filling out paperwork, working with individual borthers and helping to improve our chapter. - Her responsibility, loyalty and leadership throughout the past year. Congratulations, Lisa! February 2008 Senior Middle Grades Education major Sandi Zimmerman was voted the February Wizard of OZ for the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated her for this award, and the chapter elected her as the recipient. Sandi arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include, but are not limited to: - Her hard work and dedication to the Formal Committee. - The many extra hours she spent making sure that the annual Band Formal was a successful event - Her attention to detail and diligent work effort throughout the entire year. - Her assistance, participation, and passion for the AUJO program. Congratulations, Sandi! November 2007 Junior Sport Communication major Chad Smith was voted the November Wizard of OZ for the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated him for this award, and the chapter elected him as the recipient. Chad arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include, but are not limited to: - His dedication as Treasurer, head of the Finance Committee, and member of the Formal Committee. - His hard work in organizing the Ultimate Game Night Fundraiser. - His constant dilligence in improving the Chapter as a whole. - His leadership, positive attitude, and contribution during band rehearsals. Congratulations, Chad! October 2007 Junior Religion major Kristen Satterlee was voted the October Wizard of OZ for the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated her for this award, and the Brotherhood Committee elected her as the recipient. Kristen arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include, but are not limited to: - Her willingness to be chair of the Brotherhood Committee. - Her hard work in putting together the Halloween party and pumpkin carving. - Her constant work on creating and updating our chapter website. - Her postive attitude, enthusiasm, and work ethic at all band rehearsals. Congratulations, Kristen! September 2007 Junior Sport Communication major Greg Smith was voted the September Wizard of OZ fot the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated him for this award, and the Brotherhood Committee elected him as the recipient. Greg arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include, but are not limited to: - His passion and spirit of brotherhood, shown through his enthusiasm on and off the marching field and his eager participation in nearly all Chapter events. - His dedication to the office of Corresponding Secretary, where he enthusiastically encourages all members to attend degrees, blocks, and conventions. - His unswerving loyalty to the Brotherhood and Education Committees. - His relationships within and outside of our chapter, visible through attendance and fervor at district and national events. - His willingness to serve as a representative of Theta Zeta at 2007 National Convention. Congratulations, Greg! Summer 2007 Sophomore History and Political Science major Hallie Wolff was voted the Summer Wizard of OZ for the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated her for this award, and the Brotherhood Committee elected her as the recipient. Hallie arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include but are not limited to: - Her attendance at National Convention this July in Orlando, FL. - Her willingness to hold a leadership position as CMD within the chapter as a sophomore. - Her positive attitude, enthusiasm, and work ethic at all band rehearsals and functions. - Her overall passion for Kappa Kappa Psi and her eagerness to learn more. Congratulations, Hallie! April/May 2007 Senior Accounting major Tina Dehring was voted the April/May Wizard of OZ for the Theta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Fellow members of Kappa Kappa Psi nominated her for this award, and the Brotherhood Committee elected her as the recipient. Tina arrived at this prestigious award for numerous reasons, which include but are not limited to: - Her dedication to the Brotherhood and Finance Committees. - Her work in acquiring prizes for running the raffle at concerts. - Her willingness to help set up and tear down equipment after concerts. - Her positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to srtive toward becoming a better musician.
